The 2021 EVE CINA themed fashion show charmed attendees of China Fashion Week on October 30. The showcase displayed traditional Chinese handicrafts, including Lijin, a type of brocade originating from the Li ethnic group in South China's Hainan Province, and embroidery from the Miao ethnic group in Southwest China's Guizhou Province. The stunning Miao embroidery enjoys a history of more than 3,000 years.

During the show, three women embroiderers from Guizhou and one woman from Hainan told their stories of escaping poverty and increasing their incomes after cooperating with Beijing-based Eve Group.

The Eve team also shared their mission of promoting the inheritance, change and rebirth of national handicraft culture over the past 16 years.

Eve Group has always committed to product development and innovative design. The company has established a complete and open online database containing more than 5,000 Chinese ethnic patterns and showcasing more than 13,000 embroiderers and their skills.

Over the years, Eve Group has promoted products to the global market from more than 20 ethnic groups, including Bouyei, Miao, Mongolian, Bai, Hani and Li, and 10 provinces, including Gansu, Qinghai and Yunnan.

The company has also provided standardized training for local craftspeople and improved product forms for small- and medium-sized enterprises in areas mainly inhabited by ethnic groups, helping them realize transformation and expand marketing.

Eve Group created Remote Mountain Bazaar to bring ethnic handicrafts from deep in the mountains to high-end shopping malls in cities, allowing urban consumers to feel the charm of handicraft culture via immersive experience.

Since 2018, Remote Mountain Bazaar has opened in commercial centers in big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, Wuhan, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Xiamen.

While fully embracing the concept of a bazaar in the deep mountains, games and science fiction elements have been integrated into the stores. This meshing of ideas presents the strong contrast between simple handicrafts and futuristic technology, attracting more young consumers to enter the market to experience the ingenuity of ethnic handicrafts. The brand gathers designers, online game players and creators worldwide to showcase Chinese people's creativity and tell Chinese stories.
